Bat Workshop pt.4 - Bat detecting & monitoring in Hampstead Heath
Phytology takes a field trip in August, with resident ecologist Olly Edmonds, looking at a variety of bats within Hampstead Heath. Using bats detectors, we have a good chance of encountering up to four species including Britain’s biggest bat the noctule.
We will discuss novel techniques for monitoring biodiversity in urban environments and how this can help us to understand, value and protect what is living around us here in London. Meet at the East Heath Road entrance of Hampstead Heath - corner of East Heath Road and Well Walk.
8pm till 10pm
Please bring a torch and coat in case of wet weather (we will go ahead in light rain).
