Come and find out about London’s urban pesticide problem and how, together, we can make the city greener and more diverse. We invite local green organisations, Pesticide-Free London campaigners and interested local residents to join us for a botanical drink, a chat and a tour around some of our local community gardens. Find out more about the Pesticide-Free London Campaign.
Come and find out about how councils are using pesticides in East London, the health and environmental impacts, and the measures councillors have taken (if any) to end or reduce their pesticide-use. This will be followed by a discussion with Phytology about the importance of community garden spaces in creating resilient urban areas where people and wildlife can thrive. We will end with a tour and a chat over some drinks about actions that can be taken to support the Pesticide-Free London Campaign.
This will be a space to meet with other local organisations and campaigners that have supported Pesticide-Free London, as well as local residents, councillors and green groups. Join us for a drink and an update on the campaign, find out more about the pesticides local councils are using in the area, and have a tour of some beautiful community gardens.
Pesticide-Free London will be hosting events at the following spaces;
South London: Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses, 30th August
North London: OmVed Gardens, 6th September
East London: Phytology, 8th September
West London: Hammersmith Community Gardens (Phoenix Farm), 13th September
