Join us on Saturday 12th July to discover the world of Solitary Bees and help build a Solatary Bee Hotel!
Europe has just one hive bee species, but hundreds of solitary bees, each with unique nesting habits and vital roles as pollinators. In this hands-on workshop, you'll explore their fascinating diversity, learn how urban environments affect their survival, and discover the rare species living right here in East London.
Then, roll up your sleeves to build an ecologically sound bee hotel using untreated hardwood and precise drilling techniques. We’ll wrap up with a walk to identify ideal installation spots around Bethnal Green Nature Reserve or Bethnal Green Ecology Garden, turning knowledge into action and giving these hardworking insects the five-star homes they deserve.
