Community Ecologies - 'Micro-Seasons, Meridians & Collective Organising: Traditional Chinese Medicine as Community Ecology' by Yaya-海 Wang

2.00pm – 3.30pm
Sat 24 October 2026

Join Yaya-海 Wang for a workshop exploring the Five Elements and 24 micro-seasons and their presence in London's urban ecologies, community organising and the constitutions of our bodies.

Together we will explore what each organ system in the human body echoes in a larger ecology, and how depletion or excess can show up in both - and explore the idea that everyone's participation is essential in a co-created future.

Date & Time: 2pm - 3:30pm Saturday, 24th October 2026

Location: Bethnal Green Nature Reserve, Middleton Street, E2 9RR

Cost: Free, no booking required

Meeting Point: Bethnal Green Nature Reserve entrance on Middleton Street

Please note: places are limited to 12 per session. Early arrival is recommended.

Yaya-海 Wang is a London-based artist and community facilitator in nature spaces. They nurture a strong interest in tracing back archives of queer and underrepresented cosmologies, learning about traditional medicines and herbalism, especially from their Southern Chinese heritage, that is deeply resonant to their current ecological practice in the outdoors.
