Join Claudia Germana for a workshop exploring how climate change is reshaping medicinal plants in urban environments.
Through an accessible introduction to plant chemistry and a guided walk in the reserve, participants will learn how heat, drought and shifting seasons affect medicinal plants. Together we will prepare cooling hydration teas and mineral-rich tonic infusions. Open to all levels.
Please note: places are limited to 15 per session. Early arrival is recommended.
Bethnal Green Nature Reserve has been cared for by local residents and volunteers since 1977. Originally a WWII bomb-site, it now supports a thriving ecosystem of plants, bats, birds, fungi and more - including people.
Hosted by Claudia Germana Claudia is a Medical Herbalist, plant educator and founder of The Floating Apothecary, a herbal medicine practice based on the narrowboat she calls home. She is particularly interested in how climate change is affecting medicinal plants and in making herbal knowledge accessible to all.
