The Experimental School of Urban Ecologies, Rights for Weeds, and the Bethnal Green Nature Reserve are delighted to welcome Odhran Lawlor for an online lecture as part of our Foraging & Land Stewardship course.

Odhran Lawlor (they/them) is a medical and community herbalist. They are involved in community herbalism projects including the Mobile Apothecary in Bethnal Green and the Community Apothecary in Walthamstow, where medicinal plants and people come together through collective sharing, sensory experiences, and play to shape both themselves and their environments.

In this lecture, Odhran will discuss their work with the Mobile Apothecary and the Community Apothecary, as well as their interest in Queer Herbal Medicine, exploring how these experiences have shaped their practice as a herbalist. They will also consider how community-centred herbalism contributes to wider conversations around health, wellbeing, and bodily autonomy.
