Bethnal Green Nature Reserve is hosting a series of community-led co-learning workshops throughout summer, autumn, and winter 2024. These workshops focus on ecology, creativity, and experimentation.
Join us for the "Climate Adaptation" talk by Ross O'Ceallaigh.
The Climate Adaptation talk will explore the potential impacts of climate change on Bethnal Green Nature Reserve (BGNR) and how we can build resilience and adapt to this change. We'll explore how different plant species are likely to be affected by increased droughts and heat waves, what this could mean for the ecosystems at BGNR, and some suggestions for the reserve's management.
The talk will avoid doom and gloom and instead focus on the proactive steps we can take! There will be lots of time for Q&A and discussion after the presentation. The talk is provided by Ross O'Ceallaigh, an urban planner, podcaster, ecologist-in-training and BGNR volunteer.
Ross explores related topics on his podcast, The Green Urbanist: https://greenurbanistpod.com.
